2. What these terms cover

These terms govern the sale of furniture and handmade objects to you. They apply alongside your statutory rights as a consumer under Bulgarian and EU law; nothing here limits those rights, and where a term conflicts with them, the law prevails.

If you are buying in the course of a business, the consumer-specific provisions in sections 7 and 8 do not apply to you.

The website presents our work. It is not a checkout: prices shown as "Enquire" mean that the piece is quoted individually, and no contract exists until we have confirmed your order in writing.

3. How an order is formed

  1. You send an enquiry describing the piece, the dimensions and the room it is for.
  2. We reply with a written proposal: specification, wood and finish, price, lead time and delivery arrangement. A proposal is valid for 30 days unless it says otherwise.
  3. You accept the proposal in writing. That acceptance, together with our written confirmation, forms the contract.
  4. We ask for a deposit before work begins. The balance falls due before delivery or collection.

We may decline an order — for example if the piece cannot be made safely, if the timber is unavailable, or if the lead time cannot be met. If we decline after you have paid, we refund you in full.

Because every piece is built after the order is placed, please check the specification in the proposal carefully. Changes after work has started may not be possible, and may affect the price and the lead time.

4. Prices and payment

Prices are quoted in Bulgarian lev (BGN) in the written proposal and include statutory taxes as applicable at the time of quotation. Delivery is quoted separately unless the proposal states that it is included.

A price quoted in a proposal is fixed for the validity period of that proposal. Prices for pieces not yet quoted may change with the cost of timber and hardware.

Deposit and balance
  • A deposit is payable on confirmation of the order.
  • The balance is payable before delivery or collection, unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.
  • We issue an invoice for every payment.

Accepted payment methods and bank details are given on the invoice.

5. Made-to-order and bespoke pieces

Almost everything we sell is made after you order it. A piece is treated as bespoke where it is built to your dimensions, in a wood or finish you have chosen, or otherwise to your specification.

Bespoke pieces are clearly marked as such in the proposal, because the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to them. This is explained in full under returns and withdrawal.

We photograph work at the frame and finishing stages and send those photographs to you. If something is not as you expected, tell us at that point — it is far easier to change than after the piece is finished.

6. Natural variation in solid wood

Solid timber is not a uniform material. Colour, grain, figure and small natural features vary between boards and between batches, and wood continues to move with humidity after it leaves the workshop.

The following are characteristics of the material rather than defects:

  • Differences in colour and figure from photographs, samples or a previous order
  • Gradual darkening or lightening with exposure to light
  • Seasonal movement of solid tops and panels, and the small gaps this can open and close
  • Visible grain, medullary rays, and small sound knots where the specification allows them

Where an exact match matters to you, say so before the order is confirmed and we will agree a sample in writing.

7. Delivery and risk

Delivery arrangements, areas and timings are set out under shipping and delivery.

Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery, or on collection if you collect. Ownership passes when we have received payment in full.

Lead times given in a proposal are estimates made in good faith. If a lead time will be missed materially, we tell you as soon as we know and agree a new date with you. Where a delay makes the order pointless for you, you may cancel and receive a refund of what you have paid.

8. Conformity and the statutory guarantee

Goods must correspond to the agreed description, be of the quality and fitness that is normal for goods of that kind, and be free of defects. As a consumer you have a two-year statutory guarantee of conformity from delivery, at no cost to you.

If goods are not in conformity, you may in the first instance require repair or replacement. Where that is impossible, disproportionate, or not carried out within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience, you may require a proportionate price reduction or terminate the contract.

This statutory guarantee is separate from, and additional to, any commercial guarantee we offer. It is also separate from the repair service we provide on our own work, which continues beyond the guarantee period and is charged at materials and time.

Damage caused by misuse, accident, alteration by someone else, or by conditions the piece was not built for — sustained damp, standing water, or placement against a heat source — is not covered.

9. Liability

We are liable for foreseeable loss caused by our failure to perform the contract with reasonable care and skill.

We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so — in particular for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for your statutory rights as a consumer.

We are not liable for loss that was not foreseeable at the time the contract was made, or for loss arising because you used a piece in a way it was not designed for.

10. Complaints and disputes

Write to emil.fardigital@gmail.com with your order reference and, where a defect is involved, photographs. We acknowledge complaints within five working days and aim to resolve them within thirty days.

If we cannot resolve the matter between us, you may refer the complaint to the Bulgarian Commission for Consumer Protection, or to a recognised alternative dispute resolution body competent for the sector. You may also bring proceedings in the competent Bulgarian court.

Nothing in this section prevents you from exercising your rights before the courts at any time.

11. Governing law and changes

These terms are governed by Bulgarian law. If you are a consumer resident in another EU member state, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the law of that state.

We may change these terms; the version that applies to your order is the one in force when the order was confirmed. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.

If any provision is found to be unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
